Gov. Nixon Appoints Scott Hovis and Eric Rhone to Missouri Tourism Commission

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Missouri Gov. Jeremiah W. (Jay) Nixon has appointed Scott Hovis of Jefferson City and Eric Rhone of St. Louis to the Missouri Tourism Commission.

Hovis currently serves as the executive director of the Missouri Golf Association and will serve a term ending Jan. 15, 2013. Hovis replaces Jim Divincen whose term expired.

Rhone is the President and CEO of Visions Management Group, Inc. and will serve a term ending Jan. 15, 2012. Rhone replaces Lee Clear whose term expired.

The Missouri Tourism Commission is a bipartisan body made up of 10 members, including two members from the Missouri Senate, two members from the Missouri House of Representatives and the lieutenant governor. The governor appoints the remaining five members, who serve overlapping four-year terms. The commission oversees the efforts of the Missouri Division of Tourism.
